I'M SO HAPPY YOU ARE HERE!
Hi! My name is Gisel Olivares. I’m a content creator, curator, and editor. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when I was two years old. New York City, the heart of Inwood to be precise, was my home for 16 years.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Florida International University, where I completed a track in Public Relations and a minor in Business. Since graduating from FIU, I held a graphic design internship and a couple of administrative positions.
Then I decided that I needed a change. I participated in the PINC International program and went abroad to Madrid, Spain, for two months, where I held a Marketing Assistant internship at Ebualá Media during the summer of 2015. During my time there, I traveled to the “Enchanted City” in Cuenca, Valencia, Barcelona, Paris (for the second time), Dublin, Tunis, and Ibiza.
AND THEN...
Upon returning to Miami, I held a Copywriting internship with Venue Magazine while working as an Executive and Marketing Assistant at a small marketing company, where I transitioned into the role of Social Media Manager, and worked for over a year. I moved to Paris with my husband during the summer of 2016.
In December of 2017, I graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Arts in Mass Communication. I specialized in Web Design and Online Communications.
After graduating, I continued working on short-term freelance projects (including article writing and graphic design) while being a Social Media Coordinator in addition to customizing WordPress themes and setting up websites.
Outside of work and my hobbies, I’m also a proud board member of the non-profit organization; You See I Am.
I created this website to showcase my abilities and the creative services I have to offer small businesses.
